Our Story

Zach and Veronica met online in November of 2012. For their second date Zach cooked a delicious meal, and then they drank wine while playing Scrabble. Their relationship has grown, but their evenings continue to be filled with delicious food and lots of games. They got engaged on top of Champlain Mountain in Acadia National Park in July of 2015. They honeymooned in four more national parks (Yellowstone, Grand Teton, Bryce, and Zion). They look forward to a lifetime of joy, love, peace, and adventure together.

Veronica

I grew up in beautiful New Hampshire with my three siblings. I worked, first as a nursing assistant, and then as a nurse at an assisted living community for several years and I love my job. I am taking some time off to focus on raising our wonderful child. I also love hiking, canoeing, playing board and card games, and cooking for friends.

Zach

I was born and raised as an only child on Long Island, NY. I studied neuroscience at Dartmouth College, and am currently a data scientist at DataRobot. In my spare time I like taking pretty pictures, making fun graphs, and learning new things.

Veronica's Rings

Veronica is very happy to have family rings for her engagement ring and wedding ring. Her engagement ring was originally worn by Mary Elizabeth Wildman Whiteside, Veronica’s maternal grandmother. The wedding ring Veronica will be wearing was originally worn by Julia Wilson Russell, Veronica’s paternal great-grandmother. Veronica’s mother Josephine Russell has been wearing this ring since she married Veronica’s father J.C. Russell in 1971.
